Where to Dance

Yerevan’s club scene is intimate and tightly knit. Unlike major European cities, the venues here are small, personal, and deeply connected to the community of artists and DJs who play there.

KOND

Nestled in one of Yerevan’s oldest neighborhoods, KOND has become the epicenter of the city’s underground electronic scene. The venue’s raw, industrial aesthetic provides the perfect backdrop for techno and experimental nights.

Pkhunk

A basement bar turned cultural hub, Pkhunk (meaning “bubble” in Armenian) hosts everything from ambient listening sessions to high-energy DJ sets. The intimate space fosters a unique connection between performers and audience.

Mir

A newcomer to the scene, Mir occupies a renovated Soviet-era building and features a Funktion-One sound system that attracts both local and international talent.

When to Go

The best nights are typically Thursday through Saturday. Many events start late — don’t expect things to get going before midnight.

Yerevan may not have the massive record store culture of Berlin or Tokyo, but what it lacks in quantity it makes up for in character and curation.

Located on Abovyan Street, this small but impeccably curated shop stocks everything from Armenian jazz reissues to contemporary electronic releases from the region.

Vernissage Market

The sprawling open-air market is a treasure trove for patient diggers. Among the antiques and crafts, you’ll find stalls selling Soviet-era vinyl — Armenian folk, classical recordings, and occasionally rare electronic music from the 1980s.

Online Communities

Much of Yerevan’s music exchange happens online through Telegram groups and Instagram communities. Ask any local DJ for an invite.
